If you are finance professional who is not already knowledgeable about the details of International
Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), this qualification has a fast and efficient solution to meet
your needs. If you need to develop a working knowledge of the area, the DipIFR can help prepare you.
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are mandated in more than 100 countries
worldwide. All listed companies in the European Union (EU) have to prepare consolidated company
accounts that comply with IFRS. It also affects associates and subsidiaries of EU-listed
companies.
Other countries such as Australia, Hong Kong and South Africa have already adopted IFRS or
equivalents as their local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). And many other countries
around the world, including India, are moving towards applying IFRS, which is having a significant
impact on financial reporting.
In this globalized era, national General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is becoming rare and
IFRSs are gaining momentum across the world. These are accepted as a single accounting language for
the preparation of financial statements. This universal recognition of IFRSs has established a
common platform for this profession in the whole world and created a need for finance and accounting
professionals to gain knowledge and experience on these standards.
The implementation of IFRS as an essential norm for doing business in global markets has turned it
into a mandatory requirement for the companies. The companies are seeking this expertise as
eligibility for the accounting professionals. Moreover, the companies are also facilitating the
existing employees in this area to learn these standards. The proficiency in these international
standards is highly recommended for Chief Accountant, Chief Financial Officer, Finance Managers,
Bank Managers, Financial Controllers, Accountants, Financial Analyst, Auditors and Portfolio

IFRS is the international accounting framework within which to properly organize
and report financial information. IFRS requires businesses to report their
financial results and financial position using the same rules; this means that,
barring any fraudulent manipulation, there is considerable uniformity in the
financial reporting of all businesses using IFRS, which makes it easier to
compare and contrast their financial results.
IFRS is an international accounting standardized framework for developing and
organizing a report on financial information. This helps business to identify
fraudulent manipulations, helps investors recognize financial status, compare
financial results and ensure business practices on financials are regulated in a
standardized manner.
